Device Verification is a system launched by PTA which says "buy only PTA compliant mobile sim based deices. Please check status of the IMEI by sending SMS to 8484. Non-compliant devices will not work after 20 oct 2018.
DIRBS PTA is a phone verification system which enable the government to check the phone status by getting the information through GSM service. The GSM service get the phone information as well as IMEI code via network signals.
In case if your phone imported in illegal way or it is reported by the someone who owned it but lost it and you buy the phone from random guy online and the phone is originally marked as stolen or lost. To find all the phone current situation the government of Pakistan introduced this system.
